She gracefully navigated the storms associated with fourteen permanent change of station (PCS) moves over the course of twenty-two years of being a military spouse, and dealt with constant uncertainty with style and grace. Kathryn has been happily married to her husband, Dr. Preston Butler Jr. (retired US Army lieutenant colonel), for 37 years.
