About the Author
The Urban Monk is an academically trained artist who has created the style of Post Modern Barbequeism. He has written several pieces of literature and art books along with exhibiting all over the country. He approached his secondary academic training focusing on illustration, painting, mixed media, installation, and writing at Savannah College of Art & Design for eight years. This book was a pet project of his over the last five years trying to figure out the most appropriate media to express the concept. He finally decided that the best vessel for this project was a book. Translating The Art of War towards artists seemed like a logical progression. As an artist who chooses his own path amongst all those that fall in line with the aspiration of riches and fame through the Art World the Urban Monk has chosen a different path. He has decided to buck the art world and take his art directly to the people superseding galleries and councils although he has participated for a great number of years in the system to no avail. This book is his way of giving a rally cry and confidence boosts to artists that their way of life is something to be admired and aspired to.
