Mindy Lighthipe is an artist who is passionate about getting out into the natural world and discovering the beauty in every rock, stream, and forest. Using a variety of techniques to create her bold imagery, Mindy paints in watercolor, gouache, colored pencil, and pastel. Mindy graduated from Kean University with a BFA in studio arts and an MA in art education. She is certified in botanical illustration by the New York Botanical Garden and has taught classes in botanical art and natural science illustration. Mindy currently teaches scientific illustration at the University of Florida and exhibits her art in juried and solo exhibitions around Florida.
