About the Author
Mika Takishima is Japan's oldest fitness instructor. Born in Shinagawa on January 15, 1931, Mika Takishima was 14 years old when the war ended. After working at a department store in Ginza, she married her current husband, and after their two daughters left home, she became a full-time housewife, and while living a carefree life, her weight increased dramatically. Her husband took her to a fitness center for a trial session, and at the age of 65, she discovered for the first time the joy of exercise and started going to the gym every day.
