Written by 37 women from 30 countries of origin, each story is a unique expression of the gritty choices and hard-won lessons to belong and become. This project was funded by a Calgary Arts Development grant awarded to Gayathri Shukla. Gayathri is the founder of Campfire Kinship Storytelling Inc., a social impact firm providing advisory, training, and creative media to foster inclusive cultures. An engineer by background, Gayathri has spent 17 years of her professional career leading projects and teams. She is passionate about unlocking the power of empathy through storytelling. She lives in Calgary with her husband, Krunal, and their two children, Kailash and Shivani.
