Saint Charbel Makhlouf, one of the most famous saints of the Catholic Church, is a simple, humble and intriguing person. This biography offers a description of some of the most important events in his lifetime, from his birth in Beqaakafra (1828) to his death in Annaya (1898). It also includes a short historical insight into the Maronite Church, a description of some of the most famous Maronite monasteries, particularly those where Saint Charbel spent many years of his monastic life, and a brief explanation of the history of Northern Lebanon.
