Mary Wygodski lost her entire immediate family - her parents, brother, and two sisters - to the Nazi death machine. Spared for slave labor when the ghetto in Vilna, Poland was liquidated, she survived three concentration camps and narrowly escaped death many times. She made her way to Palestine, where she met her husband and took part in Israel's War of Independence.
