Sarah Todd Hammer is 14 years old and in ninth grade. On April 19th, 2010, when she was 8 years old, she was paralyzed from the neck-down by a condition called Transverse Myelitis. So far, Sarah Todd has written two books about her journey with this condition with Jennifer Starzec, entitled "5k, Ballet, and a Spinal Cord Injury" and "Determination." She lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her mom, dad, two older brothers, one dog, and one fish. Sarah Todd's favorite hobbies are dancing, choreographing, singing, acting, and writing. Sarah Todd's absolute favorite band is One Direction. She also greatly admires and loves the musical Hamilton, and she loves singing every song from the show. Sarah Todd has choreographed many dances, including ones to the songs "Falling Slowly" and "Therapy." She aspires to be a neurologist or a type of psychologist. Jennifer Starzec is 18 years old and in her freshman year in college. On August 16th, 2011, when she was 13 years old, Jen was lost the ability to walk, sit up, or move her arms due to a condition called Transverse Myelitis. So far, she has written two books about her journey with this condition with Sarah Todd Hammer, entitled "5k, Ballet, and a Spinal Cord Injury" and "Determination." Jen lives near Chicago, Illinois with her mom, dad, four younger brothers, one younger sister, three cats, and one dog. Her favorite hobbies are singing, reading, and writing. Recently, she has gotten into swimming, as well. She loves listening to (and belting) songs from musicals such as Les Miserables, Hamilton, and Phantom of the Opera. Jen aspires to be a physician assistant or audiologist.
