Coincidence

Unfortunately, people are kidnapped and murdered more than we care to think about. In my situation, with over thirty years as a member of the California Highway Patrol, I've been privy to these statistics. However, I'd rubbed shoulders with kidnapping and murder long before my pinning as a Patrolman, and not just once Personal tragedy can be handled in many different ways. I am one who typically chooses the head-on approach when addressing most things. Little did I know how my life choices would allow me to be involved in the lives of so many others, whether they liked it or not, and in the process come face-to-face with my own family's nemesis.
