About the Author
Bono, born Paul David Hewson, has been headlining stadiums around the world with U2 for more than four decades. The band have sold 175 million records and won 22 Grammys. A longtime activist in the fight against AIDS and extreme poverty, Bono is also the cofounder of ONE and (RED). He has been awarded the Freedom of the City of Dublin, the US Presidential Medal of Freedom, France's Legion of Honor, and an honorary British knighthood. This paperback is a revised edition of his first book, Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story, released to critical acclaim in 2022. He turned those chapters into Bono: Stories of Surrender--"my quarter-man stage show" and a documentary film on Apple TV+--before returning to his day job writing songs. Bono and his wife, Ali, have four children and live in Dublin, Ireland.
